Itinerary

Our first stop? The charming fishing village of Quriyat.

Quriyat: Where Time Stands Still

Arriving at Quriyat around 10 AM, we're greeted by a scene straight out of a postcard. The village, nestled between a serene lagoon and the vast Arabian Sea, buzzes with early morning activity. Local fishermen, their weathered faces telling tales of countless voyages, return with their fresh catch. The air is thick with the scent of salt and adventure.

Our journey continues to the breathtaking Bimmah Sinkhole. As we approach, the stark contrast of the turquoise water against the rugged landscape takes our breath away. The limestone crater, filled with crystal-clear blue-green water, seems to beckon us for a quick dip.

Next, we find ourselves on the pristine white sands of Fins Beach. The juxtaposition of the desert landscape meeting the azure waters of the Arabian Sea creates a scene of unparalleled beauty.

Our adventure takes us to Wadi Tiwi, a lush paradise amidst the arid landscape. We stroll through banana and papaya farms, the sweet scent of ripe fruit filling the air. The old village, with its timeless charm, transports us to a bygone era.

In the coastal city of Sur, we step into Oman's rich maritime history. A visit to the historic dhow-building yard, where skilled craftsmen continue the centuries-old tradition of building these majestic wooden vessels.

As the day progresses, we finally reach the crown jewel of our journey - Wahiba Sands. Known locally as Ramlat al-Wahiba, this vast expanse of shifting sand dunes is a sight to behold.

Our expert driver navigates the towering orange dunes, some reaching heights of 100 meters, in an exhilarating dune-bashing experience. The thrill of racing up and down these golden giants is indescribable!

As the sun begins its descent, we visit a Bedouin home. Here, we're welcomed with traditional Omani coffee and dates, the perfect accompaniment to stories of desert life shared by our gracious hosts.

The day culminates with a climb to the top of a massive dune to witness a spectacular sunset. As darkness falls, the desert comes alive in a different way. We gather around a crackling campfire, savoring a delicious traditional dinner under a canopy of stars so bright and numerous, it feels like we could reach out and touch them.
